Sharing your wins
Last updated: 2026-07-29
1. What this permission covers
Sharing your wins is an optional permission, set from your account settings. It is off unless you turn it on.
When it is on, it permits one thing: My Health Engineer ("MHE", "we") may take content you have posted in the MHE community and show it to other MHE members. That includes a members-only summary of recent wins, or a page inside the app visible to members who are signed in. Your name appears as you have entered it in your profile.
The permission extends to other members only. It does not extend to any audience beyond them.
2. What it does not cover
This permission is not consent to advertising, and it is not consent to publication outside the community. It does not permit MHE to feature you on social media, on the public website, in a paid advertisement, or on any surface a person who is not a member can reach.
Where MHE wants to use your experience in any of those ways, we will ask you separately, about that specific use, at the time. You may decline without giving a reason, and declining carries no consequence. Agreeing to one such request does not create a standing permission for the next.
3. Nothing depends on it
This permission is not a condition of using MHE. Your access to programs, plans, support, and pricing is identical whether it is on or off, and turning it off later changes nothing about your account.
We record whether you were asked and how you answered, including when the answer is no. That record exists so that neither of us has to rely on recollection later.
4. Withdrawing it
Turn off Sharing your wins in your account settings. Withdrawal takes effect immediately, requires no reason, and needs no contact with us.
Withdrawal prevents any further sharing. If content of yours has already been shared and you want it removed, tell us and we will remove it.
We retain the record of what you agreed to and when, including after you withdraw. What is retained is the evidence of the permission, not the permission itself. Retaining it is what allows either party to establish what was agreed, in what terms, and on what date.
5. Limits that apply regardless of this permission
These are MHE policy and they are not waivable by agreement. They apply even if you ask us to do otherwise.
No before-and-after photographs. MHE does not publish member transformation photography on any surface reachable by the public, including the website, advertising, and social media.
No alteration and no composites. Where MHE quotes you, the words are yours. We do not rewrite them, and we do not combine several members' accounts into a single account attributed to one person.
Your result is not treated as evidence. One person's experience does not establish what a program achieves generally. Where MHE makes a claim about outcomes, that claim rests on published research and states its own basis, independently of anything a member has told us.
No payment or reward for a favourable account. MHE does not offer anything of value in exchange for a win, a review, or a testimonial.
6. Content you publish yourself
This permission governs MHE's use of your content. It places no restriction on your own. You are free to post your progress in the community, on social media, or anywhere else, and you need no permission from us to do so.
7. Why this is asked separately
Health information is subject to additional protection under the General Data Protection Regulation, and permission to hold it is a distinct question from permission to disclose it. You answered the first when you created your account. This permission answers the second. Combining the two into a single agreement would make neither a meaningful choice.
How MHE handles your data more generally is set out in our Privacy Policy.
