Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-15

1. How billing works

What you pay for is premium membership of the My Health Engineer Skool community. Access to the app is included with that membership rather than billed separately, so a refund of your subscription is a refund of the membership and everything that came with it.

Skool is the merchant of record and processes your payment. MHE does not handle or store your card details. Prices shown are exclusive of VAT, which Skool adds at checkout at the rate applicable to where you are (23% in Ireland) and remits itself.

Refund requests are handled by MHE directly — Keith Young actions approved refunds through the Skool dashboard.

2. Your statutory right to cancel (EU/Irish consumers)

If you are an EU or Irish consumer, the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, transposed into Irish law) gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal on distance contracts for digital services, starting from the day you subscribe.

MHE does not ask you to waive this right. Even though you get immediate access to a digital service, our checkout does not capture the explicit acknowledgement that would be needed to waive the 14-day right of withdrawal. Because that waiver is not in place, you keep the full 14-day right of withdrawal — you can cancel within 14 days of subscribing for a complete refund, no reason required.

The 14-day period runs from the day you subscribe. To exercise it, contact us (see below) within that window and we'll refund your payment in full.

3. Money-back guarantee beyond the statutory minimum

MHE does not offer a money-back guarantee beyond the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal described above. These programs are designed to work over months, not days, so we don't advertise a longer satisfaction-refund window we couldn't honestly stand behind. Your statutory rights (above) are unaffected by this.

4. How to request a refund or cancel

Email support@myhealthengineer.com with your account email and the reason for your request (this helps us improve; it's never required). We aim to process refund requests within 10 business days.

Cancelling your subscription stops future billing but does not, by itself, delete your account or data — see the Privacy Policy for how to delete your account entirely.

5. What happens to your data if you cancel

Cancelling premium access does not delete your health data, plans, or logs — your premium membership ends through Skool, your app account itself stays open, and your data is retained under the same terms as the Privacy Policy describes. If you want your data deleted as well as your subscription cancelled, use the account-deletion option described in the Privacy Policy — the two are separate actions.

6. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge directly with your bank or card provider instead of contacting us first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is investigated. We'd rather resolve it directly — contact us first.

7. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if our billing or refund terms change, with the "Last updated" date reflecting the most recent revision.
